Join us for an enriching adventure at Farm School this May half term!
Our carefully crafted sessions this May half term, designed for children aged 5-15, offer a blend of nature exploration, food craftsmanship, and mindful experiences.
Monday 27th, Tuesday 28th and Wednesday 29th May 10 am-3 pm
Each day is a journey into the wonders of nature and the art of food. Led by experienced educators and growers, our activities are tailored to the seasons and driven by child-led learning. From sowing seeds and nurturing plants to harvesting fresh produce, children will immerse themselves in the joys of organic farming.
During our time together, children ( and their parents) will engage in a variety of hands-on activities, including:
Planting a diverse range of vegetables such as radishes, beetroot, lettuce, chard, and French beans.
Learning about perennials, no-dig planting and agroecological farming techniques.
Harvesting rhubarb, raspberries, new potatoes, herbs, and more.
Designing and preparing plant-based seasonal dishes, such as cauliflower rice, rhubarb crumble, and summer pizza.
Creating beautiful crafts inspired by nature, including wildflower arrangements, leaf rubbings, and paper pots.
Our curriculum integrates hands-on activities, heartwarming connections, and stimulating discussions, fostering a deep appreciation for nature and sustainable living. Through cooking plant-based dishes, creating beautiful crafts, and celebrating seasonal traditions, children will cultivate valuable skills and lasting memories.
In the final session, participants will come together to prepare and enjoy a delicious autumn feast, symbolizing the culmination of their learning journey.
To ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience, we encourage children to dress appropriately for outdoor activities and bring a water bottle and snacks. Our off-grid farm setting provides ample opportunities for exploration, with sheltered spaces available for inclement weather.
Come join us at Farm School and embark on a summer of growth, discovery, and fun! Places are limited so please book soon to avoid disappointment.
Please don't hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions.
